Based on a 1930s work coat, this recommended coat features three-dimensional sleeves and through-pockets, and is tailored with OUTIL's signature generous use of fabric.
It is dyed in two layers: indigo BLUE, followed by logwood.
Iron is used as a mordant (a process to fix the dye to the fibers), so it has a slight reddish tint within the black.
By weaving extra-fine linen threads at an ultra-high density, it reproduces indigo linen that is thin yet weighty, with firmness and luster.
It is said that this fabric is dense enough to carry water.
Also, because it is woven at high density, it is less prone to the deep wrinkles characteristic of linen.
You will be surprised by the aging process, which is different from ordinary linen.
Vintage black indigo linen prices are rising, but how about OUTIL's original black indigo linen, which rivals vintage?
